OGSM overview

This is the overview of the OGSM. You can see the objective, goals and strategies at a glance. And you can also quickly view the indicators and actions.

Parts of the OGSM

Title, team and status

In the toolbar above the OGSM you see the title of the team and of the OGSM. Click on the team title to go to the team.

The OGSM score indicates to what extent the OGSM has been developed. Click on the score to see tips for improving the OGSM.

On the right side you see the status of the OGSM:

  • Concept: Work is still being done on setting up the OGSM. For example, it could be the annual plan for next year.
  • Active: This is the OGSM that the team is currently steering on.
  • Inactive: The OGSM is no longer active. For example, it could be last year's annual plan.

Click on the status to change it.

Objective

With the objective you see:

  • The title of objective.
  • The status of the OGSM: green, orange, red.
  • Labels added to the objective.
  • The owner.

Goals

With a goal you see:

  • The title of the goal.
  • The final goal value, the unit and the target date of the goal.
  • The status of the goal: green, orange, red.
  • Labels added to the goal.
  • The owner of the goal.

Strategies

With a strategy you will see:

  • The title of the strategy.
  • The status of the strategy: green, orange, red.
  • Labels added to the strategy.
  • The owner of the strategy.

Indicators

  • Click on a strategy. The strategy is expanded. You now also see the indicators and the actions.
  • Click on the up arrow at the bottom of the strategy to collapse it again.

With an indicator you see:
  • The title of the indicator.
  • The final target value, unit and target date of the indicator.
  • The status of the indicator: green, orange, red.
  • Labels added to the indicator.
  • The owner of the indicator.

Actions

With an action you will see:
  • The title of the action.
  • The status of the action: green, orange, red.
  • Labels added to the action.
  • The start date of the action. If the start date is in the past and the action has not yet started, it will be red.
  • The deadline of the action. If the deadline is in the past and the action has not yet been completed, it will be displayed in red.If the action has the status 'Icebox' or 'To do': the start date of the action
  • The owner of the indicator.
  • The progress in the form of a bar from 0 to 100 percent.

Add items

  • Click on the 'Add' link.
  • Type the title of the item.
  • Click on 'Save' or press <Enter> to save the item.
  • You can now directly add a new item. Or click on 'Cancel' or outside the form to stop adding a new item.

After you add an item, you can edit it to enter the details.

View and edit details of an item

  • Click on an item to view the details.
  • As an 'Administrator' of the team or as an owner of the item, you can also edit it. All members of the team (except "Viewers") can comment on the item.

Drag and drop items

You can easily drag and drop items to another position in the OGSM. For example, you can change the order of the actions or move a goal to the indicators.
  • Move the pointer over the item.
  • Hold down the mouse button and drag the item to the correct position. Release the pointer again.

View

  • Click on 'Display' in the toolbar and select the desired view:
    • Extended: overview of the OGSM, including details for each item.
    • Compact: does the plan actually fit on one page?

Bookmark

Create bookmarks to quickly return to an overview. First set the filters and sorting, then click on 'Save current view'.

Filter

This allows you to filter the results. If a filter is active you can see this in the toolbar. Click on the cross to remove all filters.

Sort actions

Sort the actions in the OGSM for example by start date, deadline or alphabetically.

Components

Here you can choose to show archived items, descriptions or sub-items. You can also expand all strategies at once.
