Add measurement to KPI
The KPIs form a dashboard where you can see if you are moving quickly enough and if you are still on course. They show whether the actions are yielding the right results, allowing you to adjust your plan on time. Therefore, you can periodically measure the current values of the KPIs.
Add a measurement to a KPI
- Open the KPI by clicking on it.
- Click on ‘Add measurement’.
- Enter the date of the measurement.
- Enter the measured value.
- With the traffic light, you can indicate whether the actual value is in line with expectations. Select the appropriate color:
- Green: the results are as desired or exceed expectations.
- Amber: there are concerns about the results and whether the target value can be achieved by the deadline.
- Red: the target value will not be achieved by the deadline.
- Optionally, you can provide an explanation of the measurement or record a decision after the strategy review session.
- Click ‘Publish’ to save the measurement.
Progress report for a KPI
In addition to a measurement, you can also add a progress report to a KPI. You mainly do this in preparation for a strategy review session, to give context and interpretation alongside the numbers.
When adding a report you can link it to a specific strategy review session. By default the team’s next strategy review session is pre-filled; you can change it if the report belongs to a later session. On the team dashboard and on the session overview, you and the process owner can see exactly which reports belong to which session.
Linking only works if the team administrator has scheduled the strategy review sessions. If no sessions exist, the session field does not appear on the report. For more details, see the article Scheduling action and strategy review sessions.
This link is not available on the Start subscription, because you cannot schedule sessions there.
