Import measurements for goals and KPIs

Import measurements

The import function lets you add measurements for goals and KPIs in bulk using an Excel file. This is useful if you track measurement values in an external system and want to periodically transfer them to OGSM.online.

How it works

The import works in three steps: you download a template, fill in the measurement values and upload the file. OGSM.online processes the measurements automatically and links them to the correct goals and KPIs.

Download the template

Go to Management > OGSM.
Scroll to the Import and export section.
Click Download KPIs and goals.

You will receive an Excel file containing all goals and KPIs in your environment. This file contains the columns you need to add measurements.

Fill in measurement values

Open the downloaded Excel file.
For each goal or KPI, fill in the following columns:
- Measurement date. The date the measurement was taken.
- Measurement value. The measured result.
- Traffic light (assessment). Optional. Your assessment of the result: green, orange or red.
Leave rows without measurement values empty. These will be skipped during import.

Upload the file

Go to Management > OGSM.
Scroll to the Import and export section.
Click Browse next to Select file and choose the completed Excel file.

The measurements are automatically imported and linked to the correct goals and KPIs. Rows without measurements are skipped.

Good to know

Only environment administrators have access to the import function.

Do not modify the structure of the template. The columns and rows are needed to link measurements to the correct goals and KPIs. Do not add or remove any rows or columns.
