Set custom action statuses

Action status

On the Actions page, you see the actions from an OGSM displayed in columns. These columns represent the status of the action:

  • Ice box
  • To do
  • In progress
  • Completed

As an administrator of the platform, you can configure custom columns. You can use different names, but also add extra columns, for example:

  • Someday
  • Backlog
  • Work in progress
  • To review
  • Done

Behind the scenes, each custom status is linked to one of the standard statuses. The table below shows how the linking works:

Custom status Linked standard status
Someday Ice box
Backlog To do
Work in progress In progress
To review In progress
Done Done

On the Actions page, this is visible through the icons.

When setting the status of an action, the user can use the custom statuses.

When filtering actions, only the standard statuses are available. For example, if you filter on 'In progress', you see the actions with the status 'Work in progress' or 'To review'.

Configuring statuses

  1. Go to Admin | OGSM.
  2. Go to the Custom statuses section.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Enter the name of the new status and select the base status.
  5. Click Save.

You can change the order of the columns by dragging the statuses.

The settings apply to all OGSMs. You cannot configure statuses that only apply to a specific team or OGSM.
