Challenges

What challenges should our Theory of Change address? Think about both the external environment (opportunities and threats) and internal factors (strengths and weaknesses). Formulate your challenges as open questions, like “How can we…?”, to spark creativity in the next steps.

Finally, narrow the list to the most critical challenges - usually no more than five.

Add challenge

• Click 'Add challenge' to add an item.
• Click 'Save' of press 'Enter' to save you input.

• Click on an item to change the title, add a description or to comment on an item. Changes are automatically saved.

Use AI to generate challenges

You can use AI to generate challenges for you. You can edit the generated items to make it more suitable for your situation.

• Click on 'Generate'.
• Fill out the form to give AI some input about your organization.
• In the form you'll see the context that's already in you Theory of Change. Please remove any confidential information.
• Optionally you can select the focus areas for which you want to generate the challenges
• Click on the 'Generate' button.

• Please wait while AI is generating some suggestions.
• Select the suggestions you want to add to your Theory of Change.
• Click on 'Add to Theory of Change'.
